Tiny Rebel Stay PuftTiny Rebel has issued a warning to fellow brewers after realising it had fallen foul of allergen instruction regulations on bottles of its Stay Puft.

The marshmallow porter lists lactose in its ingredients list, but the South Wales brewer has been informed by the Food Standards Agency that the correct listing should read lactose (milk).

In a blog, Tiny Rebel said: “We know, from our guest beer fridges in our bars and our Friday Boozin’ / Research fridge in the office, that there are many other breweries who have done the same, and may soon hear from relevant authorities.

“Just a heads up before you have to go through the process of issuing allergen alerts as we are doing now.”

It has sent a similar message to its customers, saying: “If you have bought [Stay Puft] and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not drink it. Please return it to the retailer.”
