The Stable, the cider and business concept acquired by Fuller’s from founders Richard and Nikki Cooper, is being sold to sourdough pizza company Three Joes, industry newsletter Propel reports.

The Coopers started Stable in Bridport in 2009 and initially sold 51% of the business to Fuller’s in 2014. Since then, Fuller’s incrementally acquired the entire business, but it seems it didn’t fit in with their new plan following the sale of the Chiswick brewery to Asahi last year.

Fuller’s Simon Emeny said: “It is a fantastic brand and we are proud to have helped it grow. The sale at this time will allow us to focus on the pubs and hotels that are at the core of our business, and emerge from the current coronavirus crisis stronger.

“While we love the brand, the team, and the essence of The Stable, we have decided to take this opportunity to sell the business.”
