St Peter’s Brewery is celebrating a clutch of top awards at this year’s Global Beer Masters competition, comprising one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.

The microbrewery, based in Bungay, Suffolk, picked up a gold medal for its Cream Stout, a silver for its Old Style Porter, and three bronze awards for Black IPA, Golden Ale and India Pale Ale.

The Global Masters series is judged purely on taste, with each beer measured on the taste and the skill of its brewer.

St Peter’s Brewery chief executive, Steve Magnall, said: “Winning medals in the Global Beer Masters is a big deal for us, especially as we are only a small brewery.

“We have a dedicated team who work incredibly hard to ensure we produce only the best quality beers, so winning five medals in this competition is testament to their skill and ongoing efforts.

“The craft brewing industry is hugely competitive, so awards such as the Global Beer Masters allow us to stand out in a crowded marketplace and prove that we are creating some of the best beers in the world. It’s a fantastic achievement for the whole team at St Peter’s.”
