St Austell Family Group has today unveiled its new keg brand portfolio. Made up of Bath Ales and St Austell Brewery product brands, all the beers are now available in 30-litre kegs.

The portfolio includes three Bath Ales brands, all of which have had a makeover. As well as new-look branding, the brewing team, now headed up by former Fuller’s head brewer, Georgina Young, have been busy perfecting and tweaking the recipes for brands Cubic and Monterey.

The new line-up

Monterey (3.9% ABV): An easy-going, easy-drinking, California pale ale. Full of pine and tropical notes, it was born but not raised in the USA, thanks to its five American sourced hops, including Cascade, Simcoe and Ekuanot. Destined for long, lazy afternoons, it’s a refreshing, flavourful and sessionable beer, as golden as the sands of Monterey Bay.

Cubic (4.5% ABV): A quartet of Summit, Comet, Dragon, and Citra hops bring strong passion fruit and citrus aromas, offset by a mellow bitterness. It boasts a full-on, drinkable flavour.

Bounders (5.5% ABV): Bath Ales’ cider brand is also in a new guise. With flavour at its heart, it’s a full-bodied, fresh, and crisp-tasting cider. Crafted with slowly-fermented, fresh-pressed English apple juice, Bounders is matured for up to 18 months.

Proper Job IPA (4.5% ABV): St Austell Brewery is also adding one of its most famous beers to the keg portfolio. Already available nationwide on cask, and one of best-selling bottle-conditioned beers in the UK, Proper Job on keg is a new offering. Brewed to formidably high standards with Cornish spring water, the finest Maris Otter barley, and a blend of imported hops, Proper Job packs a moreish, hoppy punch.
