Tate Modern’s latest tap takeover is coming this week (Thursday, February 22) when Siren Craft Brew bring five of its famous brews to the Bankside venue.
Siren, based in Berkshire, launched in 2012 with a simple aim — to introduce full-flavoured, forward thinking beers to as many people as possible, helping to shape the industry into what it is today. Its beers are known for being adventurous, overflowing with flavour, aroma and texture.
On the night, beer lovers and novices alike will have the chance to sample a range of Siren’s unique beers, from core favorites to special releases and seasonal brews.
Guests will also meet the team behind Siren, who will share their knowledge and passion with the crowd.

The beers
Soundwave
- A 5.6% west coast IPA: golden, immensely hoppy and alive with grapefruit, peach and mango flavours.Soundwave carries her drinker to the west coast, to the golden shores of California where craft ale is nectar. She is the driest of Siren’s ales – full with flavour but subtle with bitterness.
Liquid Mistress
- A 5.8% west coast red IPA: burnt raisins and crackers balanced by citrus.Liquid Mistress is our femme fatale – mysterious, seductive and disarming. She draws and charms drinkers with her full, red colours. You will soon desire her biscuit-and-burnt-raisin malt base, and peach and grapefruit spark.
Broken Dream
- A 6% breakfast stout with a gentle touch of smoke, coffee and chocolate.Broken Dream is deep and complex. She lurks in your imagination. She binds smoke and coffee aromas with chocolate, milk and oats to create something thick, velvety and slick.
Calypso
- A 4% Berliner-style sour beer that is liberally dry hopped The newest addition to our core beer range is Calypso, the Goddess known for her sharp tongue. This beer is our homage to this enchantress, a tart, spritzy Berliner-style sour beer. Each batch is dry-hopped differently, here are the most recent gyles:
Yu Lu
- Yu Lu is an intricate beer with layers of flavour that remain distinctive, yet work in perfect harmony. Her name alludes to the mystical history of the humble tea leaf, which delivers subtle bergamot orange and lemon notes here, accentuated by the addition of lemon zest. Her delicate hop high notes will leave your taste buds sparkling.
