Sharp’s Doom Bar is to continue to sponsor St Minver Football Club for the 2019/2020 season. An official cheque presentation of £1,500 took place between representatives from the brewery and the club.

The club will be utilising the donation for new Sharp’s branded away kit, essential maintenance of the pitch and club house, new match balls for the coming season, as well as league and cup affiliations and insurance for the players.  Sharp’s has been sponsoring St Minver FC for eight years.

Paul Robinson, chairman of St Minver FC, said: “St Minver Football Club is a small but proud club and it means the world to us that our good neighbour in Rock, Sharp’s Brewery, has once again chosen to sponsor us with its renowned Doom Bar brand. The gracious donation of £1,500 will be put to good use, and as a small volunteer-led club it is vital for our continual success.”

Sharp’s Brewery’s marketing controller, James Nicholls, added: “With our brewery situated in Rock and many of our team members living in the surrounding areas, it is incredibly important to us to support the local community.

“St Minver FC has a remarkable work ethic and produces great results year after year. Many of our team members have also played for St Minver FC throughout the years so this collaboration is extra fun.”
