Seven Bro7hers are attempting to raise £250,000 through crowdfunding in a bid to expand the brewery and open four new beer houses across the UK.

The brewers — who have two successful beer houses and a taproom in Manchester — secured a site in Liverpool earlier this year, however the activity was suddenly paused due to Covid-19 closures.

Now the brothers are asking for investors to help get the Liverpool site off ground, fund the opening of a bar in Leeds, and raise funds to open four more beer houses by 2022.

They will be offering ‘investor rewards’ to those who support the crowdfund. An investment of £250 equals 15% discount off purchases made through the webshop and in any of the beer houses. Investors will also receive a free pint in any of the beer houses on their birthday, and a brewery tour with friends.

As the stakes get higher, £2,500 will get investors a 30% discount online, and there’s a 40% discount if you fund £25,000, alongside birthday beers and the tour perks.

Chief executive, Keith McAvoy, said: “We’ve built a business on core values around simplicity, transparency, locality, and family, and thanks to our extended family of over 1,500 investors we’ve seen our business grow.

“We believe we are on our way to becoming one of the UK’s go-to breweries. We have created three much-loved drinking destinations in Manchester and Salford, and we hope to replicate this in new cities.”

Since crowdfunding in 2016, the brewery saw a 181% growth in business revenue between 2017 and 2019. The brewhouse has increased capacity by more than 800% in five years, and is available in Co-op, Booths stores, and Ocado.

Keith added: “COVID-19 has impacted our business, however we have embraced the changes and moved quickly to keep the business going. We have a proven track record of high business growth, and therefore hope that gives people the confidence to donate to our crowdfund. We believe we can make everyone who joins our family proud of their investment.”
