Cavendish (5% ABV, cask)
The more of their beers I have, the more impressed I get by this brewery. Slightly hazy gold with a white head, it offers strong zesty lemon on the palate that leads to a very pleasant, moreish bitter finish. Its described as a “distinctly citrus blonde beer”. Nothing to trouble advertising standards there!
Harley (4.3% ABV, cask)
This deep golden bitter is easy drinking, pleasant and very sessionable. The aroma is grassy with a slightly spicy hop and a little sweetness. On the palate, there are citrus and tropical fruit notes against a backdrop of light biscuity malt. (23-11-2016)
