Problem Solved (7.5%, bottle)
A Belgian-style double IPA, a beautiful clear, polished copper colour, with light carbonation and a thick, foaming, slightly off-white head. The aroma’s not huge, but there’s a good hit of warming malt base and some spicy, slightly sulphury hops. On the palate, it’s quite malty to start with then bitterness kicks in on the back. Toasty, caramel notes back up spicy, slightly herbal /medicinal hop flavours, orange pith too, with an assertive dryness on the finish. This doesn’t taste 7.5% particularly, but I sense the alcohol may catch up with one quite quickly! Not bad at all. A collaboration with De Molen. (30-08-2017)
