Magic Rock Brewing

Common Grounds (5.4% ABV, cask)
Magic RockA rich, delicious, luscious porter. The coffee notes are reminiscent of camp coffee. There are red wine flavours, too, along with a hint of smoke. But the finish is all about the bitter coffee. (01-04-2017)

High Wire Grapefruit (5.5% ABV, keg)
Since my first tasting, this has gone on to be one of my favourite regular beers. Golden / pale amber, it has a white head that stays well. There’s zesty grapefruit on an otherwise well-balanced palate, with clementine notes, leading to gentle bitterness on the finish. (28-08-16)

Magic 8 Ball (7% ABV, keg)
Black as yer ‘at with a beige head, there’s so much going on in this beguiling beer. Take your pick of flavours: bitter chocolate, coffee, damsons, even a woody note and a hint of rum, and with a nice alcoholic warmth, too. (06-03-2016)

Salty Kiss (4.1% ABV, keg)
This salt-infused gose is straw coloured with a white head and has the curiosity of a slightly savoury aroma, along with a resinous note. On the palate it also starts savoury, but then develops a lemony sourness. Takes a bit of getting used to, but go with it. (28-08-2016)
