Leadmill Brewery

Golden Birdwing (4.8% ABV, cask)
Crystal clear golden in colour with a white head, this is yet another example of a fine beer from this consistent brewery. There are herbal, spicy, slightly sulphury hop notes a light (shortbread) biscuit background. Nice bitter finish. (29-11-2016)

Heanor Pale Ale (4.2% ABV, cask)
An easy-drinking and moreish golden ale, clear and polished with a white head. Well balanced, it has a light candy sweetness with subtle tropical fruit citrus notes. Very pleasant indeed. (12-11-2015)

Strawberry Blonde (4.4% ABV, cask)
The taste of strawberry manifests itself well in this deep golden, white-head brew, but it works well and isn’t at all overpowering. There’s a nice bit of balancing malt in the background and the strawberry flavour goes sweeter the further down the glass one gets. It’s well done, it has an inviting strawberry aroma, yet having said that, one pint was enough. (30-05-2015)
