80/-IPAPig’s Paradise Blonde

80/- (4% ABV, bottle)
Rich dried fruit is balanced by nice molasses sweetness on the palate of this very dark red beer, which pours with a rich, foamy off-white head. There’s some red apple notes in there, while the malt offers some chocolate and hints of vanilla. The aroma is of caramel and raisins, and the beer has a silky smooth body. Very, very nice indeed! IPA (3.9% ABV, bottle)
Straw / light golden with a foaming white head and medium carbonation, this low-ABV IPA is pleasant and sessionable. An aroma of grassy hop, lychee and lemon pith leads on to a well-balanced palate with Madeira cake malt flavours, with orange pith coming in. Not too much bitterness on the palate, but it does build on the finish. (15-01-2015)

Pig’s Paradise Blonde (4% ABV, bottle)
Pale golden with a white head and low carbonation, this bottled beer has an aroma of grassy hop and a hint of apple peel. On the palate, it’s almost cidery with some grassy hops. Balancing malt is light biscuit, while there’s a hint of lemon zest on the end of the finish. A decent session beer, but not in the same class as the 80/-. (15-10-2015)
