Rabbie’s Porter (4.3% ABV, bottle)
Very dark brown with a beige head and lots of carbonation, this has sweet caramel malt on the nose, reminiscent of a Tunnock’s wafer biscuit. The caramel carries through on the palate and there’s some chocolate, too, along with a hint of smokiness. Some decent bitterness comes through and lingers into a good-length finish. If the beer has a fault, the body seems a little thin. (03-04-2016)
