St Austell Brewery has collaborated with Cornish bean-to-bar chocolate maker Chocolarder to craft a limited-edition Proper Job infused Easter Egg.

Proper Egg

The chocolate is made with Proper Job IPA. A drop of St Austell Brewery’s famous golden brew is added to sugar, before being paired with Indonesian cocoa beans.

Proper Job is one of St Austell Brewery’s most popular beers. Brewed with American hops and the finest quality malt, it’s a big, bold, and powerfully hopped IPA that explodes with citrus, pineapple, and grapefruit notes.

But there’s more. St Austell Brewery has hidden a golden ticket inside one of the Easter eggs. The lucky person who finds it will win the ultimate brewery break in Cornwall. The prize includes a two-night stay at the Pier House, in Charlestown, a visit to the brewery, and a case of Proper Job to enjoy at home.

Brewing director, Georgina Young, said: “We’re so excited to have collaborated with Chocolarder on our first ever Easter egg. Fans of Proper Job should get in there quick. We only made a small amount and once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Ethical chocolate

“Beer and chocolate — what better combination could there be? The bitter, complex flavour of the dark chocolate complements the sweet, citrus, pineapple and grapefruit notes of Proper Job perfectly — it’s a real treat for the tastebuds.”

Chocolarder is the largest bean-to-bar chocolate maker in Cornwall. The team ethically source cocoa beans from around the world, and use renovated antique machinery to turn them into award-winning chocolate in their Falmouth factory.

Chocolader does not support child slavery or deforestation — farmers are paid fair wages and all packaging is entirely plastic-free.
