St Austell Brewery has launched its celebrated Cornish IPA, Proper Job, in 440ml cans. New four-can fridge packs are now available in Tesco stores nationwide.

Proper Job (5.5% ABV) is one of St Austell Brewery’s most popular beers — a big, bold, and powerfully hopped IPA that explodes with citrus, pineapple and grapefruit notes. Brewed with American hops and the finest quality malt, it has a crisp, refreshing finish, and is perfect for pairing with spicy food and big flavours.

First brewed in 2006, Proper Job was one of the first new wave of modern-style IPAs to hit the UK and has gone on to become a firm favourite with beer enthusiasts. As well as being served on draught (cask and keg), in pubs across the country, 500ml bottles of Proper Job — the country’s best-selling bottle conditioned IPA — are also available in supermarkets nationwide.

The new 440ml cans are sold in cardboard fridge packs, which are entirely plastic free and made from recyclable and biodegradable materials.

Jeremy Mitchell, marketing and communications director at St Austell Brewery, said: “We’re delighted to be introducing Proper Job in convenient 440ml cans. It’s already one of St Austell Brewery’s most popular beers and has a loyal, and growing, following, in the UK and beyond. We hope the new cans will appeal to existing fans of Proper Job while standing out to beer drinkers who are looking for new IPAs to try.

“We’re committed to finding innovative and sustainable solutions when it comes to packaging our beers, so we’re really proud to say that our Proper Job fridge packs will be entirely plastic free.”
