Fifteen pint-sized cars descended on Old School Brewery, Warton, as part of the 30th Annual Northern Microcar Rally.
Club members from the Micro Maniacs made their way north to Warton as part of a run out, stopping off along the way to discover the secrets behind Old School Brewery’s award-winning ales.
During the tour, head brewer, Garth, showed some of the ingredients he uses, walked through the brewing process, and talked about how he brews Old School’s award-winning beers. Then there was a visit to the tasting room, where the Micro Maniacs had the chance to sample some craft brews.
Old School Brewery hosts tours for groups of 20 or more (by prior arrangement). Visitors will discover how the beers are made, and if they’re lucky, Garth might even share a few tricks of the trade.
The tour takes roughly 30 minutes and finishes with a tasting of three thirds of selected Old School Brewery beers (for over 18s only).
Tour tickets are priced at £20, which includes a souvenir pack containing two bottled beers and an Old School Brewery pint glass. To book, call 01524 740888. All bookings require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
