George and Freddie Jefferies, of Jeffersons Brewery

Jeffersons Brewery, from London, has won a large cash injection, having claimed the winning spot in Liberis’ Boost Your Business competition.

The competition targeted SMEs who would otherwise lack the appropriate funding to boost their business.

The £10,000 cash injection is intended to both support and fund businesses looking to strategise accordingly, alongside changing business rates and the fluid evolution of consumer behavior.

Owned and founded by brothers George and Freddie Jefferies, Jeffersons is thought to be the smallest commercial brewery in London, making about 800 litres per week.

Innovative young companies

Rob Straathof, chief executive of Liberis, said: “Our Boost Your Business competition has been an exciting event for the Liberis team this summer, introducing us to hundreds of brilliant new brands and innovative young companies.

“I’d like to congratulate our winners, Jeffersons Brewery, on an incredibly worthy win! We’re delighted to play a part in supporting your growth.”

George Jefferies, co-founder and director of Jeffersons Brewery, added:: “Since gaining funding from Liberis, we have been given the opportunity to take a giant step forward with the business by developing our own taproom and adding an extra revenue stream.

“This, in turn, will allow us to work with Liberis and use their services in the near future — something that we are very keen to do to assist with our growth goals. We cannot thank them enough!”
