Burger and craft beer restaurant group Hubbox is opening its seventh site this week, in Taunton, with plans for 18 to 20 sites by the end of 2021.

A venue will open in Barnstaple early next year, while the existing outlet in Exeter is set to move into larger premises previously occupied by Rum and Crab Shack.

There will also be an extension to the original Hub restaurant, on the Wharf in St Ives, after the business agreed to take on a neighbouring building.

Owner Richard Boon said: “We have pipelined some fantastic sites that will include great bars featuring beer and cider from some of the South West’s finest breweries.

“Our goal is to bring some of Cornwall’s beach barbecue vibe and our relaxed attitude to the South West and beyond.”
