With live music, award-winning local food and drink, and the setting of Sykes Barn, in the heart of the Sledmere Estate, the weekend — on May 31 and June 1 — is set to excite tastebuds and get visitors dancing the night away.
An eclectic mix of entertainment includes local musicians and bands. There will be more than 20 craft beers, selected by the team at Half Moon Brewery, to show the region’s range of local breweries, along with a fine offering of local ciders, hand-picked by Colemans, as well as local wines and gins.
Jackie Rogers, co-owner of Half Moon Brewery, said: “Horizon Festival is an amazing event to be involved in, our passion for great beer and live music is well known, and to combine those in the beautiful setting of Sledmere is a fabulous opportunity. Live music, craft beer, cider, gin, wine, local food and camping! We hope you can join us for what is shaping up to be a fantastic weekend.”
On the Saturday, the Artisan Food and Craft Fair will be held from 9.30am until 4pm, with more than 40 stalls showcasing Yorkshire’s best food and crafts.
Throughout the weekend there will be free access to Sledmere’s renowned gardens and grounds, which includes the adventure play area and rare breeds farm.
