Hop Back Brewery’s bottle-conditioned Taiphoon beer has won a bronze award at the 2018 Free From Awards.

Hop Back logoTaiphoon uses two English and two continental hop varieties, which gives this pale, thirst-quenching ale a distinctly hoppy, flowery palate.

The addition of coriander and lemongrass give a wonderful zingy finish. The beer is recommended as an ideal accompaniment to spicy dishes.

Hop Back managing director, Paul Sullivan, said “At Hop Back, we’ve brewed beers for customers requiring a gluten-free alternative, whilst keeping to our original ethos of using the highest quality ingredients in the most flavoursome recipes.

“Crop Circle was our first bottle-conditioned beer to be accredited by Coeliac UK and has also picked up awards. We are now absolutely thrilled that Taiphoon has also been accredited and achieved recognition with a bronze, which sits alongside the gold medal from the Taste of the West.”
