Goose Island will be raising a glass to women’s rights tomorrow (March 8) with the launch of its specially created, female brewed, Saison beer.

Hosted at Goose Island’s flagship venue on Shoreditch High Street, London, all proceeds from the beer will go to two female cancer charities based in the UK — Young Women’s Trust and Wigs For Heroes.

The event is to be hosted by Goose Island’s female brewers and will guide customers through the brewing process of the saison alongside a Q&A session. The brew will then be tapped for everyone to enjoy as an exclusive for International Women’s day. A free Goose Island gift will also be handed to the first 20 females through the door, including a tote bag, t-shirt and a bottle of Sour Sisters.

In full celebration of females within the international brewing industry, Goose Island will be introducing a tap takeover in its BrewPub with guest lines brewed, owned or co-founded by women. The Goose team will also give an insight into Goose Island’s ongoing female brewing plans through the launch of the Goose Sisterhood, which will see the Chicago-based brand partner with influential women brewers from around the globe.
