Greenhithe brewery No Frills Joe is crowdfunding to open a taproom in Dartford, Kent. The aim is to raise £50,000.

Founder and head brewer, Jack Wolfart, and assistant brewer, Mirek Siek

The project will build on the success of owner Jack Wolfart’s brewery, opened four years ago, which produces draught craft beer — there is a plan to can the beers soon.

The idea of opening an on-site taproom, in common with many other brewers at the heart of their communities, is not feasible, due to space considerations. But a Dartford unit has been identified, for which Jack has big plans.

“We intend to create a modern, industrial, all-day, feel-good space for residents of Dartford and surrounding towns,” says Jack.

The taproom will, of course, specialise in craft and cask beer, not just from No Frills Joe, but some of the best breweries in Kent, London, and around the UK. There will be a 30-tap bar.

There will also be a simple but excellently prepared food menu, offering the likes of burgers or wood-fired pizza, and craft coffee.
