Online or in the real world at a bar, Beer Today’s current recommendations…

By the Horns: cans
By the Horns favourites, now in cans. Ales by Mail has stocks of Hopadelic session IPA, Wolfie Smith amber IPA, Bastard Brag Black IPA and Lambeth Walk porter.

Northern Monk / Andreas Pedersen: Patrons Project 7.04 DDH Farmhouse Pale
A collaboration farmhouse ale with Pilsner malt, wheat, oats and rye. Hopped with nelson Sauvin, the yeast is the Dupont-derived WLP565.

Saltaire Brewery: Triple Chocoholic (4.8% ABV)
My pick of an Easter-themed selection of brews from Beers of Europe. It’s a multi-award winner and for good reason – rich, creamy and extremely chocolatey without being sickly.

Unity Brew: Printemps (6.4% ABV)
I encountered these guys last year and instantly took to their take on Belgian styles, out of Southampton. This spring saison is made with UK Cascade hops and locally foraged nettles.

Dowr Kammel Brewing Co: De Lank Dynamite (5.1% ABV)
Our local recommendation this week comes from a Bodmin Moor brewery fast making a name for itself. As well as this delicious chocolately porter, with coffee notes, the brewery also makes bespoke beers The Barrel at Bude micropub.
