“Beer banter” and a few freebies are promised when Firebrand Brewing Co takes over the taps at the Lamp & Whistle, in Leskinnick Place, Penzance on Friday (January 18).

Beers on cask will be: new Yakima Valley Extra Pale (4.3% ABV), Grafitti IPA (5%) and Blackstuff (5%).

On keg, you’ll find New England IPA (5.5%) and West Coast IPA (4.5%). The latter was champion golden ale in the IPA category at last year’s Falmouth Beer Festival, going on to take overall bronze at the event.

There will also be Double IPA (7.5%) in bottles, and the NEIPA in cans.

The event starts at 7.30pm (although the beers may well be on from late afternoon) and there will be representatives from the brewery there to talk about the beers, and the North Cornwall outfit’s plans for 2019.
