The Exeter Festival of Winter Ales returns on January 19 and 20, once again at St James’ Park, home of Exeter City FC, celebrating beers brewed to warm drinkers during the winter months.
There will be beers from local breweries as well as those further afield, plus a number of West Country ciders. Seasonal brews will include Christmas Stocking, from Coach House Brewery in Warrington, and Winter Solstice, from the Pictish Brewing Co in Rochdale.
There will also be an opportunity to taste beers which have been nominated for CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Britain competition. A full list of beers will be posted on the Exeter and East Devon CAMRA website closer to the event.
The festival will be open from 11am until 11pm both days and there will be entertainment both evenings (7.30pm on Friday and 5.30pm on Saturday).
Press officer, Caroline Trevaskis, said: “As always, we are extremely grateful to Exeter City Football Club and the supporters’ club for allowing us to use their facilities, which always makes for a very friendly atmosphere and emphasises the role that the supporters club has in the wider community of Exeter. We would also like to thank our numerous sponsors for their continued support.”
