Falmouth Beer Festival 2018

October 4-6: Falmouth Beer Festival at Events Square, Falmouth, Cornwall. More than 240 real ales, over 70 ciders and perries, plus bottled beers and hot and cold food. Full details on the event Facebook page

October 5 and 6: Ale-ing Fest 2018 at Hayling Community Centre, Station Road, Hayling Island, Hampshire PO11 0BH. Real ales, ciders and hot food at all sessions. Opening times and admission: Friday and Saturday evenings, 6.30-11pm, £9 advance tickets, £11 on the door (subject to availability); Saturday afternoon, noon-4pm, advance tickets £5, £6 on the door (subject to availability). Tickets available from the Community Centre and numerous outlets around the Island, or via the hotline (07999 537840) until 6pm on October 4, or Saturday lunchtime at the Community Centre. October 6: Beer festival at the Eden Project, Bodelva, Cornwall PL24 2SG.

October 4-7: Indy Man Beer Con at the Victoria Baths, Hathersage Road, Manchester M13 0FE. A celebration of independent brewing, with talks, tastings, food and plenty of beer! Full details on the festival website

October 19-21: Beer festival at the Driftwood Spars Hotel, Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes, Cornwall TR5 0RT. A great selection of Driftwood Spars Brewery’s own beers, plus guest brews from across the country. Details on the event Facebook page

October 25-27: Southport Beer and Cider Festival at St John Hall, Wright Street, Southport PR9 0TU. More than 60 real ales and ciders, as well as perry, wine and prosecco. Full details on the event web page

October 27 and 28: Halloween Beer, Gin and Rum Festival at Batemans Brewery Visitors Centre, Mill Lane, Wainfleet All Saints, Lincolnshire PE24 4JE, 11am-11pm. With live music and food. Adults in fancy dress will receive a discounted drinks voucher. There will be a prize for the best dressed child.
