Driftwood Spars festivalDriftwood Spars‘ first beer festival of the year returns next week, with The Dark, The Light and The Saison running from March 9-11 at the St Agnes, Cornwall, venue.

The event will feature ten cask beers, from Dorset and beyond, including brews from Uley and Cerne Abbas breweries.

There will be live music each night, beer-inspired food, and Pete the brewer undertaking a tasting from about 5pm on Saturday.

Pete’s latest new beer is a bottled pale ale called DevHops (3.8% ABV), which has been made for Cornwall-based software development company, Headforwards.

The beer is described as a light session pale ale, with a fresh, crisp and sweet nose. Tropical and citrus fruit flavours from the hops are balanced by a warm and gentle base of pale ale and cara malts to create a beer for any occasion.
