Verdant has new stocks of cans at its online shop (although you probably need to be quick on the click!). There’s old favourite Headband pale ale (5.5% ABV), slightly tweaked and now fermented with the Lalbrew new England yeast, and If We Must, a super fruity double IPA fermented on white grape pressings and hopped heavily with Eldorado, Ella and Galaxy.
Dynamite Valley Brewing Co is experimenting with keg beer. First to try is Black Charge Oatmeal Stout (5% ABV) currently on the bar in Beerwolf, Falmouth.
In the Beak Midwinter is the brilliant name of Cornish Chough’s seasonal offering. The brewery says the 4.9% ABV winter warmer is “a beautifully balanced dark ruby bitter with hints of cinnamon, ginger and vanilla”.
Keltek Brewery’s Grim Reaper (6% ABV) is back for the autumn. The deep ruby ale has big malty flavours and notes of dark fruit with a caramel finish. It was a silver medallist at the Taste of the West awards.
Padstow Brewing Co has taken delivery of new branded mini-kegs. They are going to be filled for sale at the brewery and at the lovely Tasting Room, in the centre of Padstow, with online sales soon, too.
