Brooklyn Brewery will be coming to Leeds this August as part of the Brooklyn On Tour event.

The award-winning American brewery has scoured the city to unearth the best up-and-coming street food chefs, DJs and artists, and will be collaborating with Leeds legends Bondobust, DJ Lucy Locket and street-artist Nicholas Dixon to host the city’s most creative party.

Brooklyn will be bringing its tour bus to Canal Mills on August 18, where the first 200 guests will enjoy a free Brooklyn beer. With free entry, the event aims to get back to how craft culture should be experienced — no overpriced tickets, no booking fees, no warm lifeless beer, just a good time, with great music, great art and great food.

Chris Moore, Brooklyn Brewery’s brand ambassador for Leeds, said: “Brooklyn On Tour is all about finding the very best craft talent in Leeds, as one of the UK’s most creative cities. All our local partners are incredible Yorkshire legends who represent the city through their authentic, quality and creative work.

Creative characters

“Brooklyn Brewery has always been a proud supporter of food, art, music and community efforts, and collaborating with creative characters and legendary independent venues like Canal Mills is what we enjoy most. We can’t wait to see what they come up with on August 18.”

The Brooklyn Brewery tour bus is kitted out with a fully-functioning bar and space to seat up to 12 beer lovers. It also has a serving hatch that will pop open to serve guests a range of the vrewery’s finest brews, including the classic Brooklyn Lager, the refreshing and flavourful Summer Ale, sessionable Scorcher IPA, bright and citrusy saison Sorachi Ace and the new orange pale ale, Naranjito.

There will also be the chance to try some of the brewery’s limited-edition beers, rarely available in the UK.
