Brighton pub The Greys, which as put on the market by Ei Group, has been purchased by Northampton-based pub operator Paul Hanna.

The Greys is well known as a leading music pub which, over the years, has hosted acts such as John Otway, John Cooper-Clarke and Julie Felix.

When the pub came on the market a group of locals set up a campaign to keep it open, and Brighton and Hove City Council designated it as Asset of Community Value.

According to Brighton news website Bjournal, Paul Hanna has expressed “interest in sitting with Friends of The Greys to help achieve a sustainable vibrant pub that will be there for many years to come”.
