BrewDog cancelled a series of events it was planning to stage with US brewer Scofflaw after the latter promised free beer to Trump supporters.

The Scottish brewer’s founders, James Watt and Martin Dickie (pictured), have been vociferous opponents of the US president, to the extent of planning a temporary bar on the US / Mexico border featuring the slogan ‘Make Beer Not Walls’.

BrewDog tweeted: “The Scofflaw release was announced without our knowledge or consent. We are in no way aligned with their position and we will, of course, be cancelling all the events and sending all the beer back. We care about beer and people. Not hate.”
