Birmingham Beer Week has announced that CLIC Sargent will be its charity partner for 2019. The event runs from July 19 to 29.

Krishan Rajput, director of Birmingham Beer Week, said: “We are proud of our continued effort to raise money and awareness of charities that positively impact on Birmingham’s amazing community.

“Last year our supported charity was Birmingham Mind, and a total of £258 was raised. We have chosen to support CLIC Sargent for Birmingham Beer Week 2019. CLIC Sargent supports children and young people affected by cancer in a way that goes beyond the treatment. Our fundraising will be more digital this year, so as to reach even more of you and bring our best total to date.”

Elaine Griffin, fundraising engagement manager for CLIC Sargent, added: “I’m thrilled to be working with Birmingham Beer Week. From seeing their events last year, I think we can make the week a lot of fun, and raise a lot of awareness of CLIC Sargent in Birmingham.

“Our incredible services team work at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, supporting hundreds of children and young people with cancer. As a proud Brummie, I’m really excited to see what incredible experiences we can bring to Birmingham!”
