Low- and no-alcohol beer specialist Big Drop Brewing is crowdfunding to expand both in the UK and around the world.

It also wants to make its beer available on draught in pubs and bars, as well as at festivals and events nationwide.

Beyond expansion, it’s also aiming to change popular misconceptions about alcohol-free beer.

Co-founder Rob Fink said: “There’s always been alcohol-free beer, but it’s never been any good before! We wanted to fix that. We started this company because our own lifestyles had changed. [Co-founder} James and I had recently become fathers, and the lower-alcohol beer we wanted just wasn’t there.”

The company’s range of beers in classic styles — stout, pale ale, IPA, lager, and more — aim to be as big on flavour as any craft beer. They’ve swept the board at international competitions, including the World Beer Awards and European Beer Challenge, winning 26 prizes, including eight gold or double Gold medals, often against full-strength beers from major breweries.

Sales grew by 775% in 2018 alone, and in 2019, Big Drop made and sold more than one million bottles of beer. The Big Drop range is now sold in Tesco, Ocado, Holland & Barrett, Milk&More, in more than 1,000 international stores, including Alco (Finland), LCBO (Canada), System Bolaget (Sweden), and Albert Hiejn (Holland), and a growing number of online retailers.

Investors can chip in from £50 to £50,000 (and beyond) to become part of Big Drop’s success story, and gain access to a host of exclusive benefits. Find out the full details via Seedrs.
