Curious Brew

Lager (4.7% ABV, bottle)
Delightfully carbonated, no doubt due to its Champagne yeast. Yes, Curious Brew does things in style! The beer is bright golden, with a white head that stays well. It offers a herbal, spicy aroma, with a hint of citrus. It dances on the tongue, crisp and dryish, with biscuit malt balancing a lemony, herbal hop note. All delightfully refreshing and very moreish. A great take on a session lager.

Session IPA (4.4% ABV, bottle)
Xrystal clear deep gold, with a white head that doesn’t linger long. Not a huge aroma — I get some bready malt and a hint of English hedgerow hop. But it’s well balanced on the palate, the hops offering a solid trinity of mandarin, lemon, and spiciness, with some caramel coming thorugh the balancing bready malt. Good bitterness on the finish. The more I get into this, the more I like it. Reminds of the flavours in my favourite Penzance IPA.
