Sawmills Session IPA (4.4% ABV, bottle)
This is one for a summer afternoon — keep some in the fridge. Sessionable? Tick. Flavoursome? Tick. Inviting? Tick. Hazy amber, with a very slightly off-white head that stay well, the aroma is grainy malt with lemon. Take a mouthful and you can tell that there’s an impressive cast list of hops. Notes of lemon zest, peach, grapefruit, and kiwi,. Quite a fruit bowl. All held in place by juicy, balancing malt. And there’s a delightful fruity bitterness on the finish.
Buy: I got mine from Red Elephant Beer Cellar, Truro.
