The Nelson Tavern, in Christchurch, is launching its first ever four-day beer festival this bank holiday weekend, with a host of British brews, plus barbecue food.

Following a transformational investment of £177,000 from Admiral Taverns, the pub has re-opened and become a local favourite in the Christchurch area, with a new gastro-pub style menu.

Hosted by experienced licensees Joe Carlo and Hayley Toomer, the festival will showcase a wide range of local beers, from breweries such as Hop Back and Downtown.

Hayley said: “We’re excited to host our first beer festival at the Nelson Tavern to celebrate the bank holiday. Supporting local suppliers has always been important to us, and we’re thrilled to have so many at the festival.

“The home-grown Dorset talent playing live music during the weekend should also ensure the party goes with a swing!”
