Food and drink exports grew by 5.5% to £5.2bn in the first quarter of 2018, according to the Food and Drink Federation — but beer exports dropped by £16.1m.

Food Drink FederationThe only other top ten category to see no growth was salmon, down by a massive £40m.

Of particular interest to exporters is Japan, where UK saless of food and drink have grown over the past ten years, but at a rate below the average growth rate of exports from EU27 nations.
