SALT Beer Factory, owned by Ossett Brewing, has won two World Beer Awards.

Answer is None (7.2% ABV) took gold in the UK black IPA class, while there was bronze for Alpaca DDH IPA (6.6% ABV) in the UK American IPA category.

Greene King’s East Coast IPA was UK winner in the American pale ale category, while Old Crafty Hen, from its Morland brand, won gold in the wood-aged class. There was gold, too, for Old Speckled Hen Gluten Free in the gluten-free competition.

Greene King-owned Belhaven won the IPA speciality category with its Twisted Grapefruit IPA. Twisted Thistle won bronze in the American IPA class.

Brewhouse & Kitchen’s Flaming Cow milk stout — brewed at its Southsea site — came top in the UK flavoured stout/porter category.

Meanwhile, in the International Beer Challenge, Dartmoor Brewery’s flagship Jail Ale received a gold medal, while there were bronze medals for Dartmoor IPA and Legend.
