Bermondsey-based brewery Anspach & Hobday is celebrating one year since the opening of The Pigeon, its craft beer-focused bar in Camberwell, with a beer, pizza and wine party.

The event will be taking place on Friday, October 18, from 5pm, with patrons able to sample a wide-range of A&H beers, along with locally sourced pizza (for free!) and high-quality wine. There will be free entry.

The Pigeon came to Camberwell Church Street in October of 2018 and has since become the neighbourhood purveyor of craft beer, wine and cocktails. The bar has ten lines of draught beer, along with classic board games, darts, and a PlayStation One. It is open Wednesday through to Sunday every week. 

Anspach & Hobday is known for its diverse range of beers, inspired by traditional styles remade for the 21st century beer drinker, brewing everything from historic ales and porters, to experimental sours and IPAs.

Founded in 2013 by childhood friends Paul Anspach and Jack Hobday, A&H is seeing rapid growth following a successful round of crowdfunding earlier this year. It is best known for flagship beer, The Porter.
