AB-InBev is laying off some 400 employees within its high-end division, responsible for its craft beer acquisitions and super-premium brands.
The redundancies will affect 2% of the company’s North American workforce. Those working directly for the acquired breweries will not be affected.
Alex Medicis, AB InBev’s vice-president of sales, said there were “a few key areas in our sales organisation where we can simplify our business”.
He added that the company was making considerable effort to find new roles within its business for people affected by the restructuring.
