The Three Counties Cider & Perry Association has announced the return of Perry Day to The Courtyard Arts Centre, Hereford, this Friday (11th October).
This is a day of free talks and tastings to celebrate what the association considers might be the world’s most secretive and underrated drink, a regional speciality of the Three Counties.
It will feature eight speakers across four talks, along with dozens of British and international perries to taste.
“It’s unbelievably exciting to have a whole day to give perry its own spotlight and share everything that is so compelling, delicious, and yet still too little-known about this marvellous, magical drink,” said co-organiser Adam Wells.
“The Three Counties is one of only three regions in the world where modern perry still has a significant presence, so being able to hold Perry Day in the heart of the city of Hereford itself is all the more special.
“The roster of speakers we’ve assembled makes for a true celebration of British and international perry, and I can’t wait to share dozens of the world’s best perries with the attendees. There’s no better opportunity to learn about and taste all things perry. And, best of all, it’s totally free to attend!”
Perry Day will be held between 10.30 am and 4pm on the 1st floor mezzanine of The Courtyard Theatre, Edgar Street, Hereford HR4 9JR. Parking is available. You must be over 18 years of age to take part in the tasting elements of the event.
