Tickets have launched for the Women in Beer Festival which will take place in various venues across Edinburgh from 23rd to 27th October.
Organised by Women in Beer, the community for women who enjoy good beer, the festival showcases and celebrates women working and leading the brewing industry.
The festival begins at Cold Town House, in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket, on the Wednesday. There will be a welcome, networking event, and a musical performance.
Women in Beer founder Amélie Tassin will open proceedings, with brewers from Cold Town and Worthing’s ’s Hand Brew Co on hand for a tap takeover.
Women in Beer’s Crisp Malt industry seminar returns on the Friday. The day will start with Lallemand’s technical sales representative, Alix Blease, leading a session of sensory training.
In the afternoon, speakers from across the world of beer will lead a series of discussions, covering a range of topics. Attendees will be able to take a deep dive into the world of beer judging, learn tactics for quality and consistency, and hear about community and mental health in brewing.
“Our industry seminar was a great success last festival, and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring it back this year,” said Amélie.
“Women in Beer exists as a safe space to forge connections and break boundaries in brewing, and sharing experience and knowledge is an integral part of that.
“The speakers we have lined up this year are leaders in the industry with global experience, and I’m excited for everyone to hear what they have to say and to learn from them.”
Tickets and further information on the events are available on the Women in Beer website.
