A group of the world’s finest commentators on brewing history are gathering for a new event in Manchester this August.
The Historic Brewing Conference will take place on 5th and 6th August at the Fairfield Social Club. It is being organised by beer history enthusiasts Steve ‘Beer Nouveau’ Dunkley and Keith Sowerby.
Speakers will include Pete Brown, Lars Marius Garshol, and Jane Peyton. Their talks will examine brewing traditions from prehistory to Prohibition. The event is being compered by former beer writer of the year, Emma Inch.
Alongside the papers, there will be time for socialising and networking. A special conference bar will showcase the heritage beers under discussion.
