Barsham Brewery, in North Norfolk, has had to expand after experiencing surging demand for its award-winning beers.

The expansion project has involved increasing the brewing capacity and adding a delivery vehicle to meet growing demand. The brewery has invested in new equipment and facilities to enhance production efficiency without compromising on quality.

“We are thrilled to announce this exciting phase in the evolution of Barsham Brewery,” said managing director Tom Trivedi.

“The response to our beers from the Norfolk community and across East Anglia has fuelled our ambition to expand and continue delivering exceptional craft beers to local pubs around our region.

“Our relationship with both independent pubs and pub groups, such as Chestnut Inns, has meant that expansion was needed to meet increasing demand.”

Two beers received accolades at the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) East region competition, with gold for Golden Close IPA and silver for Norfolk Topper. This follows the brewery being named as a finalist in the Eastern Daily Press Food and Drink Awards, in the field to fork category. In the summer, Norwich CAMRA awarded Oaks Session Bitter the title of 2023 Norfolk session bitter of the year.

As part of the expansion, the brewery plans to introduce new beer varieties. And April 2024 will see the return of Street Food Friday events.
