Truman’s Beer is to launch Truman’s Social Club — its new 26,000 square feet beer hall and cultural centre — on 29th October.
In the heart of Blackhorse Lane, the venue has been designed to celebrate East London’s rich history — that Truman’s has been a part of for more than 350 years — and bring the community together to forge the next chapter of an ever-changing city.
Whether it’s grabbing a drink or a bite to eat in the new giant beer hall or beer garden, Truman’s Social Club will have capacity for 700 people to relax, discover, and create in.
With an events space, street food traders, a giant beer garden, and daytime café, Truman’s will be working with local businesses to create a space that celebrates the best local beer, food, and makers in East London.
There will be a choice of up to 20 beers from Truman’s and guest breweries, as well as a rotating line-up of renowned East London food traders, such as Zero Sushi and Last Night A Vegan Saved My Life.
A weekly community-led programme of events will be running, and the venue’s versatile spaces will be available to hire. Everything from exhibitions, markets, pop-up shops, and product launches, to gigs and film nights.
Truman’s Social Club will be open all day, seven days a week, and table reservations are bookable for groups. The space has been specially designed for social distancing, with additional measures such as maximising ventilation and minimising customer touch points, so people feel they are in a safe, comfortable, and relaxing environment. While there is limited space for walk-ins, booking is advised.
