After a last-minute rush of pledges, Verdant Brewing Co has closed its crowdfunding campaign with just under £1.2m having been raised.
The Cornish brewery, famed for its hazy American style IPAs, had originally targeted £500,000 for its project to create a new, bigger brewhouse, plus taproom and laboratory.
But it then upped its target to £1m to further its ambitions, eventually welcoming 2,142 investors, who pledged £1,97,350.
On their Twitter feed, the brewery team said: “Now it’s time for us to repay the faith — stay tuned!”
