Next year will see the 250th anniversary of Hall & Woodhouse Brewery, and in the last few years there have been a series of beers leading up to the big day.

Badger Hannah George Edward

The beers honour the people who have shaped the brewery’s story. Each one captures a chapter, a character, and the values that still carry them forward today.

This year’s release, Hannah and George Edward’s Kindness, is the fourth in that limited-edition Founder’s Day series. It celebrates a partnership that helped to shape the future of the brewery, and bring two families together.

Edward Woodhouse — as George Edward was known — crossed the Atlantic seeking adventure. In time, he returned to Dorset and found something better — the love of his life. Edward married Charles Hall’s granddaughter Hannah Dodge in 1847 and the two families became one, creating Hall & Woodhouse.

Hannah and George Edward’s Kindness is a powerful, bottle-conditioned IPA, with bold citrus from American hops, which celebrates their union and the birth of Hall & Woodhouse.

It’s hopped with Cascade, Solero, Amarillo, Mosaic, and Citra, against a base of pale, Cara, and Munich malts.
