Hobsons Brewery was among a number of Shropshire businesses invited to a Parliamentary event showcasing the region’s local produce.

The event was hosted by local MP Daniel Kawczynski, who said: “The county of Shropshire has so much to offer, and I am pleased that my colleagues in the House of Commons were able to experience a taste yesterday.

“I am grateful to all of the businesses that attended. They did an amazing job at advertising our county.”

Hobsons offered a range of its ales, including its most recent creation, Dirty Gertie. This tropical IPA was brewed to mark the business’s 30th anniversary. Commercial director, Kate Pearce, who was in attendance, was delighted to mark the brewery’s third decade with a trip to Parliament.

Kate said: “It was a real honour to be invited to the Houses of Parliament, to not only showcase our products, but also the outstanding produce Shropshire has to offer as a collective.

“Our locality has always been a great supply of pride for us at Hobsons, and events like this really highlight how diverse and creative our county is. We had some great feedback from those in attendance, and it was nice to take our 30th anniversary brew on tour with us to the big city!”

As its beer portfolio continues to diversify and its reputation in the industry grows stronger, the brewery hasn’t lost sight of its proud Shropshire roots, and its location within the historic county continues to shape the brand’s identity.

The business is also rooted in the core principles of ‘People, Pints, Planet’, which refers to its community, quality of product, and commitment to sustainability.
