Magic Rock Brewing has teamed up with gravel bike race Grinduro to create a special edition session IPA which will be sold in Wales and Italy.

Big Grins (3.9% ABV) will be available at the Italy and Wales locations for weekend-long celebrations of gravel cycling.

From 7th-9th July, the Yorkshire brewer attended the Wales Grinduro event, teaming up with Canyon Bikes to hand out its alcohol-free Citra pale ale Freeride (0.5% ABV) to more than 600 participants, at refreshment points during the race.

“Craft beer and cycling are two very intertwined worlds,” said Richard Norgate, of Magic Rock Brewing. “We feel there is nothing better than cracking a can after a day on the trails.

“Magic Rock has always seen cycling as a passion point and always tried to be involved in industry events, as well as sponsoring the race team Paria Magic Rock Racing. It’s exciting to be involved with such a fun-filled event, but even more so to team up with Grinduro to create this collaboration for this year’s events.

“Big Grins come in all shapes and sizes, usually caused by blasting down a trail on two wheels whilst hooting and hollering. But, of course, it helps if you share that experience with your best buds.

“Big Grins pale ale is a collaboration between Magic Rock and Grinduro. This zesty citrus number will hopefully add to that grin whilst you sip it with your riding buddies after a good day on the hill.”

Magic Rock will be at Machynlleth, Wales, from 7th-9th July, providing refreshments at the Grinduro Village with an on-site bar for the weekend, offering a wide selection of beers, spirits, and alcoholic free beverages.

The brewer will be rounding off its involvement with sun and sea in the beautiful climbs of Punt Ala, Tuscany, from 8th to 10th September.
