Drinkers are invited to name a beer, vote on other people’s suggestions and then, following the deadline of Friday, 21st October 2022, Strange Times will produce a shortlist of the five most popular and let people have a final say.

The person behind the winning name will receive a case of 24 Strange Times canned beers. All five shortlisted entrants will get an invitation — including a plus-one — to an exclusive tasting event at the brewery on Sunday, 6th November.

Head brewer, Lauren Guy, said “We are delighted to run this competition, have a bit of fun with our loyal customers, and welcome new followers to our brand.

“It is a small but sincere way to say thank you for supporting us through Covid and inviting them to be part of our creative journey and celebrate with us as we begin a new phase of canning and national distribution.”

Strange Times Brewing Co was born of chaos in the embers of 2021. Lauren and founder Alex Lord have 25 years of brewery experience between them. They have built up a loyal following of craft beer fans through their distribution network of pubs across Greater Manchester and beyond.

The brewery plans to take its beers to a national audience and will soon launch a crowdfunding campaign which will help it invest in a canning machine. This has been the vision from the start, and the reason the business has invested a huge amount of work into its creative side to ensure the products will stand-out on the shelf.

The brand design and artwork has been designed by artist Mina Mond and is inspired by tarot cards. The meanings tie into the stories of each of the brewery’s five core beers. There will be new special recipes launched throughout the year.
